Jen Ross and Cristina Ros Blankfein were sick of vodka sodas. It can be such a struggle working in a major city and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, especially when most work-related social events involve “drinks?” Even if you’re not a drinker, sipping on plain seltzer or (gasp!) water, can be so boring. So the two Harvard Business School goers put their heads (and glasses?) together and came up with Be Mixed, a no sugar, no calorie mixer in three flavor choices to fit every drink palette.

You might wonder what exactly gives Be Mixed its sweetness, and the answer is a mix of monkfruit (full of antioxidants and vitamins), and stevia extract. That’s it. No artificial ingredients, just flavor, color, and deliciousness. If you don’t feel like mixing a full-on cocktail (not everyone is into muddling), it’s a simple mix of Be Mixed, the alcohol of your choice, ice, and you’re done! Jen even stashes their individual-sized bottles in her purse for impromptu refreshment. And as a Type 1 diabetic, Be Mixed has been an extra lifesaver for her because she never feels like she has to sacrifice taste for her health.

Be Mixed Margarita

Berry Merry Margarita 
4 oz. Be Mixed Margarita (1 small bottle)

1.5 oz Tequila (be a bartender and measure with a jigger)
4 Blackberries
4 Raspberries

4 Strawberry Slices


Muddle berries.
Combine all ingredients into a shaker and fill with ice.
Shake and pour over ice.

For an extra kick, add some jalapeño slices to spice up your holiday. 

Cucumber Mint Be Mixed

Cucumber White Sangria 

25 oz. Be Mixed Cucumber Mint
1 Bottle of white wine
3 Granny Smith Apples, cored and diced
3 Oranges (or blood orange), in wedges
1 1/2 Cups of cranberries


Chill Be Mixed and white wine.
Combine ingredients in glass or pitcher.
For best results let fruit soak for an hour.

Add ice and serve!

Be Mixed Ginger Lime

Pomegranate Moscow Mule 

4 oz. Be Mixed Ginger Lime
1.5 oz. Vodka (act like a bartender and measure with a jigger)
.25 Cup pomegranate seeds
.5 oz Lime Juice

Muddle pomegranate seeds
Add Be Mixed, vodka, and lime juice into shaker.
Shake and pour into copper mugs over ice.

Gift all three flavors of Be Mixed to your favorite person!
